Job Summary:
The position will be responsible for maintaining Food Safety for Manufacturing and Quality Certifications and ensure the safety and quality of all processes and products within further processing. Responsible for defining a network of procedures and documentation processes, from receipt of raw materials and packaging, through processing and distribution of finished goods. Verify and validate quality and food safety systems to ensure that the systems are working properly and safely while analyzing data to evaluate patterns and trends in results from quality testing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, implementation, review, Certification Take appropriate action(s) to maintain the integrity
Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plans and the Food Quality Plans Certification and other 3rd party audits.
Assist in the building of quality and food safety programs and procedures
Manage the process of analytical and micro testing of products and plant conditions
Serve as key statistical resource and verify product and process improvements through implementation and data analysis
Define food safety and quality procedures in support of SQF certification
Completion of required reports, trending, log tracking, and other required paperwork
Train the trainer and develop programs and assess programs for effectiveness related to food safety and quality
Establish and manage customer complaint procedures
Maintain all production specifications: processing, packaging storage, and distribution to ensure effective product safety, product quality
Work as a liaison between quality and production departments: support and implement steps to drive the success of quality department goals
Lead and coach good manufacturing practices
Lead the development and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals, the HACCP Plans, and the Food Quality Plans.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
